ISTANBUL - International Monetary Fund (IMF) delegation, led by Turkey Desk Chief Reza Moghadam, met on Friday with administrators of the Foreign Capital Association (YASED) in Istanbul.
Following the meeting which lasted for about one hour, YASED executive board chairman Saban Erdikler told reporters that they held a beneficial meeting with IMF delegation and stated that they informed IMF delegation about activities which YASED made on foreign capital so far and activities which the Association would make from now on.
Erdikler said that the delegation told them that they were pleased with developments on foreign capital in Turkey.
He stated that they also said in the meeting that they expected 30 billion U.S. dollars of foreign capital in 2008.
IMF delegation will start its official talks in Ankara on Monday.
