Parliament Secretary General Bozkurt To Represent Turkey In Asgp Meeting In Geneva

ANKARA - Parliament Secretary General Rauf Bozkurt will represent Turkey in the meeting of the Association of Secretaries General of Parliaments (ASGP) in Geneva, Switzerland.
The meeting will take place in Geneva between October 1 and 3.
Several issues will be taken up in the meeting where Bozkurt will deliver a speech on role of parliaments in improvement of human rights.
Bozkurt, who will explain parliament's history and initiatives, will inform participants about amendments to the Constitution, Turkish Penal Code and Anti-Terrorism Law and European Union (EU) adjustment packages.
Rauf Bozkurt will tell about the applications to the Parliamentary Human Rights Commission on human rights violations and how they are evaluated.
Bozkurt will stress on effects of parliament on progress recorded in human rights in Turkey.
