ANKARA - Interior Minister Abdulkadir Aksu said on Thursday that Turkey and Hungary would improve cooperation in fight against illicit drug trafficking and terrorism.
Aksu had a short meeting with Hungarian Minister of the Interior Monika Lamperth.
After chairing the meeting between Turkish and Hungarian delegations together with Lamperth, Aksu told reporters that their meeting was held in a full compromise since the two countries did not have any political problems.
Aksu said that they exchanged views about fight against terrorism and illicit drug trafficking and cooperation in civil defense.
They agreed to further improve their cooperation at the end of their meeting, Aksu noted.
Aksu said that they also discussed fight against international crime gangs and he welcomed Lamperth's proposal to appoint liaison officers between two countries.
They planned to make cooperation with international organizations and institutions in civil defense, Aksu stated.
Aksu added that they also took up cooperation in public management reform.
