JERUSALEM - Five Turkish citizens were evacuated from Gaza Strip on Monday.
Three Turkish people and two Turkish citizens of Palestinian descent who earlier came to Gaza Strip to work, were brought safely to Tel Aviv by executives of Turkish Embassy in Tel Aviv and Consulate General in Jerusalem. Later on, they will be brought to Turkey via Jordan.
Speaking to A.A correspondent by phone, Umut Yucedag (40), one of evacuees, said that he was in Gaza for nearly 10 months. ''We lived there under bombardments. Some Palestinians helped us. We did not have any problem regarding food but we lived with fear. There is a serious situation in Gaza.''
