ANKARA - Turkish Foreign Ministry strongly condemned the Israeli attack on Qana town of Lebanon.
Releasing a statement on Sunday, the ministry expressed sorrow over death of civilians in the attack on Qana, and condemned the attack strongly.
The Foreign Ministry noted that the number of Lebanese civilians who died in attacks of Israel exceeded 600 so far, and more than 750,000 Lebanese have left their homes. Lebanon is on the threshold of a humanitarian crisis, added the ministry.
The ministry urged Israel to end its attacks on Lebanon, and stressed that a cease-fire should be declared immediately.
An Israeli airstrike killed at least 56 civilians, most of them women and children, in the southern Lebanese town of Qana yesterday.
