ANKARA - Total foreign exchange deposit accounts at banks increased 1 billion 503 million U.S. dollars to 66 billion 371 million U.S. dollars between September 5 and 12, 2003.
According to Central Bank's provisional statistics, total foreign exchange deposit accounts at banks was 64 billion 868 million U.S. dollars on September 5.
Foreign exchange deposits increased 969 million U.S. dollars to 50 billion 796 million U.S. dollars in the same period.
Total internal foreign exchange deposits increased 892 million U.S. dollars to 48 billion 461 million U.S. dollars while external foreign exchange deposits increased 77 million U.S. dollars to 2 billion 335 million U.S. dollars in the same period.
Meanwhile, total foreign exchange deposits at the interbank market decreased 384 million U.S. dollars to 642 million U.S. dollars.
Foreign exchange deposits with letter of credit and super foreign exchange accounts increased 60 million U.S. dollar to 15 billion 636 million U.S. dollars between September 12-19, 2003.
