ANKARA - International Monetary Fund (IMF) delegation headed by IMF Turkey Desk Chief Reza Moghadam will start official talks in Ankara on Monday.
Sources said on Thursday that the delegation started to hold talks in Istanbul within the scope of the sixth review and those talks would last for two days.
IMF delegation will meet with administrators of Individual Industrialists' and Businessmen's Association (MUSIAD) and Turkish Industrialists and Businessmen Association (TUSIAD). The delegation is also expected to meet with the Banks' Association of Turkey (TBB) and the Association of Foreign Capital in Istanbul.
The delegation will later come to Ankara and start its official talks on Monday.
IMF Representative to Turkey Odd Per Brekk who released a statement on Wednesday said that they would focus on 2003 budget practices and 2004 budget preparations and also take up structural reforms and privatization.
Brekk said that the sixth review could be approved by IMF Executive Directors Board at the end of October or at the beginning of November and he added that this could pave the way of releasing a new loan tranche worth of 500 million dollars.
