ANKARA - The Chief Prosecutor's Office in Ankara has prepared an indictment about the armed attack on the Council of State on May 17th.
In the indictment prepared by prosecutor Semsettin Ozcan, nine suspects including lawyer Alparslan Arslan were accused of attempting to destroy the constitutional order by using force.
The indictment was submitted to the Ankara High Criminal Court no: 11.
Ozcan requested the court to sentence suspect Arslan to life imprisonment for staging an armed attack on the Council of State and two bomb attacks on the Cumhuriyet daily headquarters in Istanbul.
Mustafa Yucel Ozbilgin, a member of the Council of State Second Chamber, was killed while four other members of the chamber were injured in the armed attack on May 17th.
