DUBAI - International Monetary Fund (IMF) Managing Director Horst Koehler said on Thursday that he saw that Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan was determined on continuation of economic program.
Koehler, currently in Dubai to participate in IMF-World Bank annual meetings, spoke to A.A correspondent.
Stating that his meeting with Erdogan was productive, Koehler stressed that determination of prime minister and the government were the most important assurances of economic program.
Koehler pointed out that determination on the ongoing economic program would increase ''credibility'', and that this determination should be maintained.
Koehler said inflation in Turkey decreased in a stable way for the first time after a long time, and noted that this trend increased chance to fulfill inflation target.
Pointing out the positive developments in economic indications, Koehler said there was a noteworthy development in rate of economic growth.
