ANKARA - One Turkish citizen died in a helicopter crash that happened in eastern mountainous area of Afghanistan yesterday, sources said. A total of 16 people, including several foreigners lost their lives in the crash.
Sources stated that geological engineer Ihsan Ozer who worked for a private construction company ''Piramit'' died in the crash, noting that he had been in Afghanistan for three years.
16 people aboard Russian-made helicopter were killed when it crashed in rugged mountain terrain in eastern Afghanistan. The cause of the crash is not known.
