Turkey Exports 14 Thousand 607 Tones Of Hazelnut On Third Week Of Export Season

TRABZON - Turkey exported 14 thousand 607 tones of hazelnut in the third week of 2003-2004 hazelnut export season.
According to figures of Black Sea Hazelnut and Products Exporters' Association, Turkey, which exports hazelnut nearly to 80 countries, obtained an income worth of 45 million 708 thousand 725 U.S. dollars by exporting 14 thousand 607 tones of hazelnut in the third week of 2003-2004 hazelnut export season.
Turkey exported 12 thousand 406 tones of hazelnut to the European Union (EU) countries, 1,385 tones of hazelnut to other European countries, 466 tones of hazelnut to overseas countries and 347 tones of hazelnut to other countries.
In the same period of the previous season, Turkey had exported 43 thousand 131 tons of hazelnut and obtained an income of 99 million 804 thousand 103 U.S. dollars.
