Turkey To Start Exporting Energy To Iraq

DIYARBAKIR - Turkey will start exporting energy to Iraq on Tuesday.
Electricity will start to be given to Iraq from Silopi PS-3 Thermic Power Plant after a ceremony takes place in Silopi town of southeastern Sirnak province on Tuesday.
Under the agreement, Black Sea Wholesale Electricity Trade Inc. (KARTET) will give 1 billion 752 million kilowatts per hour electricity to Iraq a year.
The agreement will be valid for two years.
Energy and Natural Resources Minister Hilmi Guler, officials of Turkish Electricity Distribution Inc (TEDAS), Energy Market Regulation Board, and Foreign Ministry will attend the ceremony.
Iraq will be represented by Mohammed Ali Jaber, Mahmood Hagi Kahalel, Fathel Abas Hasan, Saleh Kasem Mohamed, Hayesen Taha Yasee, Adel Hameed Mahdy and Nazim Abdulvahit Abdulkadir in the ceremony.
