Japanese Crown Prince Naruhito And His Wife Visit The Exhibition Of Three Great Civilizations In Turkey

TOKYO - Japanese Crown Prince Naruhito and his wife Princess Masako visited on Monday the exhibition of ''Three Great Civilizations in Turkey'' in Metropolitan Museum of Tokyo.
Turkey's Tokyo Ambassador Solmaz Unaydin and Tokyo Metropolitan Museum Director Yoshitake Mamuro accompanied Prince Naruhito and his wife during their visit to the exhibition of ''Three Great Civilizations in Turkey: the Hittites, Byzantine and Ottoman Empires.''
Prince and Princess, who received information from officials in the museum, thanked Turkish government through Unaydin because they permitted the work of arts to be exhibited in Japan.
Japanese Emperor Akihito and his wife had also visited the exhibition on September 8.
A total of 220 thousand people have visited the exhibition since August 2, the date it was opened.
The exhibition will be open until September 28 and a total of 280 thousand visitors are expected.
The exhibition will be open in Fukuoka between September 12 and December 7 and in Osaka between December 20 and February 16. More than 500 thousand people are expected to visit the exhibition during the period it remains open in Japan.
