STRASBOURG - Constitutional Court Chairman Mustafa Bumin arrived in Strasbourg on Sunday as the guest of European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) President Luzius Wildhaber.
Six members of Constitutional Court accompanied Bumin who will hold meetings in European Council and ECHR on Monday.
Bumin and members will receive information about the functioning of ECHR. Applications from Turkey to ECHR and jurisdiction reform on human rights in Turkey will also be brought onto agenda during meetings.
Wildhaber said in his press statements that member countries should make arrangements in their regulations which would be appropriate to European Convention on Human Rights to decrease the number of applications to Strasbourg court.
Bumin and accompanying delegation will depart from Strasbourg on September 23.
