MILAN - ''Turkish economy has demonstrated that it can easily overcome fluctuations,'' said Ali Coskun, Turkish Industry & Trade Minister.
Coskun participated in the Fourth Euro-Mediterranean Annual Conference of the Milan Chamber of Commerce in Italy on Monday.
He informed the audience on the recent economic and commercial developments in Turkey.
According to Coskun, Turkey is actually one of the most developed 20 economies in the world. ''Our goal is to include Turkey within the group of the most developed 10 economies by the year 2013,'' reaffirmed Coskun.
He indicated that the current trade volume between Turkey and Italy has reached an impressive 13 billion USD. ''Italy is Turkey's third biggest trade partner,'' stressed Coskun.
Ali Coskun also thanked Italy for its continuous support to Turkey's EU membership bid.
