ANKARA - U.S. Ambassador to Turkey Ross Wilson has expressed sadness over the killing of Turkish troops by members of terrorist PKK organization.
Wilson visited Rifat Hisarciklioglu, Chairman of the Union of Turkish Chambers & Commodity Exchanges (TOBB), today in Ankara.
Talking to press after his meeting with Hisarciklioglu, Wilson expressed that people and countries have the right to defend themselves.
Ambassador Wilson indicated that Turkey and the United States are working closely in the fight against PKK. He noted that the US is also trying to cut off financial resources of the PKK in European countries.
''The efforts made by a trilateral mechanism of Turkey, U.S. and Iraq against PKK are more efficient than acting alone,'' told Wilson.
