ISTANBUL - ''The developments in the Middle East will not have a negative impact on Turkey in the long run. Turkey is a safe and secure haven in the region,'' said Saban Erdikler, Chairman of the International Investors' Association (YASED), today.
Introducing a report prepared by YASED titled ''Towards A Foreign Capital Strategy for Turkey'', Erdikler noted that those societies which do not have (firm) policies and strategy, risk to be players guided and manipulated by those who actually have strategies and policies.
According to Erdikler, Turkey has a potential to attract foreign investment worth 15-20 billion USD annually.
Saban Erdikler commented that the medium-term and long-term goals of the Turkish economy must be to attract investment that brings state-of-the-art and newest technology to Turkey.
