BEIRUT - The number of people killed in six days of Israeli strikes across Lebanon rose to at least 182 on Monday after a new wave of deadly air raids, police and medics said.
The toll, which was revised upwards to include six new civilian deaths, comprises 170 civilians and 12 soldiers. At least 430 people have been wounded.
At least 31 people were killed on Monday alone in attacks across the country, including nine soldiers, according to medics and police.
Separately, the Lebanese militia Hezbollah has declared that three of its fighters have been killed since the start of hostilities.
That number, impossible to confirm, was not included in the 182 total given by official sources.
Likewise, the number of fatalities in the heavily pounded Hezbollah-held suburbs of southern Beirut was unknown. It was impossible to verify casualties there because of the militia's restrictions on journalists and continuing Israeli raids.
