Baykal Meets With U.S. Ambassador To Edelman

ANKARA - Republican People's Party (CHP) leader Deniz Baykal met on Wednesday with the U.S. Ambassador to Turkey Eric Edelman.
The meeting lasted for about an hour.
Following the meeting, Edelman told reporters that Baykal and he had a beneficial meeting.
Baykal said that they informed Edelman about CHP's views and also Turkey's concerns over Iraq issue.
Stating that Edelman and he had opportunity to discuss issues concerning Turkey in the meeting, Baykal said that Iraq issue came onto the agenda.
Baykal said that the United States was of great importance for Turkey and stated that relations with the United States should be carried out with clear dialogue and accurate information.
