ANKARA - State Minister Ali Babacan said on Wednesday that Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan had been invited to the opening session of the meeting of the Institute of International Finance as the only speaker.
Speaking in a program on state-run TRT channel, Babacan said that course of economy and International Monetary Fund (IMF) and World Bank policies were debated in World Bank-IMF meetings and some common decisions were taken.
Babacan noted that Institute of International Finance would convene in Dubai similar to the World Bank and IMF, adding that Erdogan had been invited as the only speaker of the opening session of the meeting of Institute of International Finance.
Erdogan would address a large number of representatives of finance world and explain recent developments in Turkey in the mentioned meeting, Babacan stated.
Babacan emphasized that it was a very good organization which would increase Turkey's importance.
