Erdogan: United States And Turkey Have Mutual Interests In Restoration Of Stability In Iraq As A Whole

ANKARA - Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said on Tuesday that the United States and Turkey have mutual interests in restoration of stability in Iraq as a whole.
Erdogan received U.S. Ambassador in Ankara Eric Edelman.
After the meeting, Prime Ministry Press Center issued a statement noting that regional and international issues were discussed as well as Turkish-U.S. relations at the meeting.
The statement added that Erdogan said that Turkey wanted to see clearly what would be done where, when, how and with whom.
Erdogan underlined that Turkey continued a comprehensive evaluation process with this goal.
Erdogan said Turkey, which lost nearly 40 thousand citizens in its fight against terrorism, expected fight against terrorism to be supported with concrete steps internationally and regionally.
Edelman in his part stated that United States appreciated the progress recorded by Turkey in economy. Edelman said the United States would continue to expend necessary support to Turkey to increase foreign investments in Turkey.
Edelman also pointed out that they believed that Turkey would play an important role in Iraq's political and economic reconstruction.
