BAGHDAD - American soldiers in Baghdad are positive to Turkey's sending soldiers to Iraq in many aspects.
All the American soldiers in the region said that they wanted to see Turkish soldiers in Baghdad.
Many of American soldiers in Baghdad told A.A correspondent that they needed the help of other countries in Iraq and Turkish soldiers could have a contribution in solving problems in Iraq with their experiences. They said that Turkish soldiers could have a leading role in reconstruction of Iraq and some of them said that Turkish soldiers could have better relations with Iraqi people as they were Muslims.
An American sergeant told A.A correspondent that he had undertaken mission with Turkish soldiers in Kosovo and he was sure that Turkish army would fulfill important things with its experience and capability.
Noting that he thought that Turkish soldiers would undertake mission in a large field if they came to the region, the sergeant said, ''I know Turkish soldiers from Kosovo. I think they solve all problems of the region.''
Other soldiers in patrolling group said that they needed assistance of other countries in Iraq and stated that they would be pleased to see Turkish soldiers in the region.
Most of American soldiers who were deployed in front of Palestinian Hotel don't have any information about the possibility of dispatch of Turkish soldiers to Iraq. After soldiers who wanted their names not to be made public were told that there was such a possibility, they said that Turkish soldiers' coming to the region would be great.
Most of American soldiers said that Turkish soldiers would help them and stated that Turkish soldiers and they could solve problems together.
A soldier quoted Iraqi people as saying that Turkish soldiers were Muslim and that's why they wanted Turkish soldiers in Iraq.
American soldiers in Victory Base near Baghdad International Airport have similar views saying that they needed assistance in Iraq and that they would be pleased to see Turkish soldiers in the region.
