ANKARA - Turkey will donate 1 million USD to Palestine to contribute to development of small and medium scale industries, Turkish Foreign Ministry said on Friday.
Releasing a statement, the Ministry indicated that this assistance will be extended to Palestine within the framework of liabilities Turkey has undertaken within the framework of donor's conferences held in Washington D.C. in 1993 and in Paris in 1996.
The agreement will be signed by Vehbi Dincerler, the Economic & Social Affairs Coordinator of Turkey for Palestine, and Palestinian Ambassador to Turkey Nabil Maarouf in Turkish capital of Ankara on Monday (July 10th).
Turkish Foreign Minister Abdullah Gul, and Turkish-Palestinian Parliamentary Friendship Group Chairman Huseyin Tanriverdi will also participate in the signature ceremony.
The statement added that Turkey will continue to extend assistance to Palestine, and contribute to Palestine's prosperity.
