AZDAVAY - Two people died as they were trapped under a collapsed coal mine in Azdavay town of northern city of Kastamonu on Friday, sources said.
Sources told A.A correspondent that the coal mine belonged to a private company.
Bodies of an engineer and an administrator of the private company were pulled under the rubble at the end of rescue operations that lasted more than five hours.
Meanwhile, six workers who entered the collapsed mine to rescue the trapped people were poisoned by the gas leakage, and immediately hospitalized. According to doctors, they are in stable condition.
