Turkish aerospace manufacturer TUSAS Aerospace Industries (TAI) has delivered a completed forward-center fuselage section for the A400M military transport aircraft to Airbus facilities in Bremen, Germany, where the plane is being assembled.
The component, measuring five meters in length and 5.5 meters in diameter and weighing 1,976 kilograms, was transported aboard a Beluga heavy-lift cargo aircraft.
TAI joined the A400M program under a contract signed in May 2003, participating as Türkiye's designated national industrial representative and as a member of Airbus Military S.L. The company has been involved in design and feasibility work throughout the program.
Under the full production plan, 180 A400M aircraft are to be built and distributed among seven customer nations: France (50), Germany (60), Spain (27), the United Kingdom (25), Türkiye (10), Belgium (7), and Luxembourg (1).
