ANKARA - ''Works on the letter of intent (to be sent to IMF) were completed last night. We will sign and send the letter of intent today'' Turkish State Minister Ali Babacan said.
Answering questions, Babacan noted that primary surplus target was fixed as 6.5 percent in the letter. Asked when IMF Executive Board will convene, Babacan recalled that the board usually convenes two or three weeks after the letter is signed. ''I think that the board will convene within this month,'' he added.
Babacan indicated that they were working on a comprehensive package aiming to boost employment in the country, stating that the reform package would be assisted with the loans from the World Bank.
Indicating that there were 21 projects supported by the WB, Babacan said that Bank's loans amounted to 5.2 billion USD.
