Turkey Exports 7 Thousand Tones Of Hazelnut In Second Week Of Season

TRABZON - Turkey exported 7,008 tones of hazelnut in the second week of 2003-2004 hazelnut export season.
According to figures of Black Sea Hazelnut and Products Exporters' Association, Turkey, which exports hazelnut nearly to 80 countries, obtained an income worth of 20 million 812 thousand 381 U.S. dollars by exporting 7,008 tones of hazelnut in the second week of 2003-2004 hazelnut export season.
Turkey exported five thousand 953 tons of hazelnut to the European Union (EU) countries, 709 tons of hazelnut to other European countries, 186 tons of hazelnut to overseas countries and 160 tons of hazelnut to other countries.
In the same period of the previous season, Turkey had exported 26 thousand 673 tons of hazelnut and obtained an income of 62 million 115 thousand 383 U.S. dollars.
