ANKARA - Portuguese Secretary of State Assistant to the Minister for the Economy Franquelim Garcia Alves said on Monday that they believed that Turkey would be one of key points of the European Union (EU) sooner and later.
Speaking in the Turkish-Portuguese Cooperation Meeting held by the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB), Alves said that EU had a key position in globalization.
Alves noted that Portuguese had recorded significant technological developments after it joined the EU.
Partnerships could be established and good opportunities could be created in technological cooperation, Alves pointed out.
Alves added that Portuguese could share its experiences in banking sector with Turkey after Turkey became EU member.
