Nato International Secretary Delegation Starts Technical Studies In Istanbul

ISTANBUL - International Secretary Delegation started its technical studies in Istanbul on Monday prior to NATO Summit in which heads of states and governments of NATO member countries will convene.
The delegation discussed the memorandum of understanding which arranges the details regarding the organization of the summit in the meeting held at Lutfi Kirdar International Congress and Fair Center. The delegation will continue its studies in Istanbul for one week.
NATO Istanbul Summit, in which heads of states and governments of NATO member countries will convene, will be held between May 20 and 21, 2004.
Bulgaria, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Romania, Slovakia, and Slovenia will join the organization officially in the summit that is held once in two years.
Issues such as ''NATO-European Union relations'' and ''Terrorism and Iraq'' will be given priority in the agenda.
The representatives of the countries, which make cooperation with NATO, will meet with the members of organization within the Euro-Atlantic Partnership Council (EAPC).
Meetings with Russia and Ukraine will be held during the summit.
