Turkish, Syrian And Iraqi Railway Officials Meet In Istanbul

ISTANBUL - Delegations of Turkish, Syrian and Iraqi railways met in Istanbul on Monday.
Turkish, Syrian and Iraqi railway officials will take up technical and administrative issues like increase of railway traffic volume, increase of quality and rehabilitation of trains and railways in their meeting which will last for two days.
Suleyman Karaman, the Director General of Turkish State Railways Administration (TCDD), said that they would take up resumption of train service between Gaziantep and Baghdad during their meeting.
Iraqi Railways Director General Selam Jebur Sellum said that three countries met to negotiate transportation.
Sellum noted that they would re-start passenger transportation from Iraq to Turkey via Syria.
