BRUSSELS - Detailed screening meeting on the 28th chapter named ''consumer and health protection'' (within the context of Turkey's full membership negotiations with the EU) began in Brussels, Belgium on Thursday.
The meeting will focus on legal regulations in Turkey regarding general products safety, defective product liability, unfair terms in consumer contracts, sale of consumer goods, indication of prices, doorstep selling, misleading and comparative advertising, immovable properties on a timeshare basis, package travel, advertising and sponsorship of tobacco products, communicable diseases and mental health.
Turkey-EU screening process will continue with explanatory meeting on the chapter named ''external relations'' on July 10th.
