ANKARA - Turkish Central Bank said that its foreign currency reserves is down by 1.5 billion USD to 56.7 billion USD, between June 23rd and 30th, 2006.
Releasing a statement on Thursday, the CB indicated that Turkey`s ``international reserves`` decreased by 1.1 billion to 82.7 billion USD on June 16th. Of that, 22.2 billion USD was from privately-owned institutions, including commercial banks while the Central Bank held the rest.
Meanwhile, Turkey repaid 169.8 million USD in foreign debt between July 3rd and 5th, 2006.
