ISTANBUL - Turkish Airlines (THY) recently acquired 16 new aircraft, a statement by the company said on Thursday.
Sending a statement to the Istanbul Stock Exchange, THY executives indicated that the tender regarding the aircraft to be delivered in 2006, in which national and international finance institutions participated, has been completed successfully.
According to THY executives, 16 of 59 aircraft, planned to be purchased this year, have been actually handed over to the company.
