ANKARA - Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) prepared a report about the problems which Turkish entrepreneurs faced in reconstruction process of Iraq and its views about these problems.
Issuing a written statement on the issue, TOBB said that TOBB Chairman Rifat Hisarcýklýoglu would go to the U.S. on Sept. 18, 2003 with an accompanying delegation and hold a meeting and working group session with Centre of Strategic and International Studies (CSIS).
Both the report prepared by TOBB and Turkish-American cooperation in reconstruction of Iraq will be taken up in the meeting.
The report noted that the instability in Iraq constituted a threat for all regional countries including Turkey. Noting that instability which threatened Iraqi territorial integrity would further disturb regional balances, the report added that guarantee of Iraqi territorial integrity was ensuring stability in whole Iraq.
The report stressed that ensuring stability in Iraq mainly depended on ensuring security, adding that ''but security can't only be provided by military operations, but also by progress to be recorded in supply of electricity, drinking water, telephone, health, education services.''
