VIENNA - International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Director-General Mohamed El-Baradei will pay a three-day visit to Turkey.
He is expected to arrive in Ankara on Thursday.
El-Baradei is scheduled to meet Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Foreign Minister & Deputy Prime Minister Abdullah Gul and Energy & Natural Resources Minister Hilmi Guler.
He will also attend ceremonies to mark the 50th anniversary of foundation of the Turkish Atomic Energy Agency (TAEK).
El-Baradei will proceed from Ankara to Istanbul to attend a conference on nuclear energy.
Diplomatic sources said that IAEA had pledged to provide Turkey with all kinds of technical assistance if it decided to put into force its nuclear energy program.
El-Baradei won the 2005 Nobel Peace Prize for his efforts to limit the proliferation of nuclear weapons.
