ANKARA - Polish Parliament Speaker Marek Jurek arrived in Turkish capital of Ankara on Wednesday upon an invitation of Turkish Parliament Speaker Bulent Arinc.
Jurek will meet him, and participate in a dinner to be hosted in his honor by Arinc this evening.
President Ahmet Necdet Sezer, Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Energy & Natural Resources Minister Hilmi Guler, and members of the Parliamentary Foreign Affairs Commission and EU Adjustment Commission are the other Turkish executives with whom Jurek will have meetings.
During his two-day stay in Ankara, Jurek will also visit Polish Language Department in Ankara University, and participate in a ceremony to be held in the memory of Polish ambassador Sokolniki.
Jurek will proceed to Aegean city of Izmir and then to Istanbul on Friday. He is expected to visit several historical and tourist sites in Istanbul.
