LEFKOSA - Constitutional Court Chairman Mustafa Bumin and Supreme Court of Appeals Chief Judge Eraslan Ozkaya came to Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) on Saturday to attend a ceremony to be held for 2003-2004 Judicial Year.
TRNC Supreme Court Chairman Taner Erginel welcomed Bumin, Ozkaya and an accompanying delegation at Gecitkale Airport and said that the 2003-2004 Judiciary Year would start with a ceremony to be held on Tuesday.
Erginel said, ''our country is going through difficult days. We also have legal problems. We want to benefit from experiences of Turkish judiciary delegation.''
Bumin stressed that existing cooperation in law between Turkey and TRNC would further improve.
Ozkaya said that they were interested in TRNC's problems in judiciary and other fields as well.
Stating that they would have meetings on TRNC judiciary, Ozkaya said that relations between Turkey and TRNC would further improve.
The delegation will visit historical and touristic places in Gazimagusa and Karpaz on Sunday and have talks with the government and military officials on Monday.
The delegation will attend on Tuesday the ceremony to be held for Judiciary Year and depart from TRNC on Wednesday.
