BINGOL - 2 soldiers died and 5 others were injured in an explosion occurred when a patrolling military vehicle passed over a mine in Genc town of southeastern city of Bingol, sources said on Friday.
Noncommissioned officer Kazim Faydaci and a private lost their lives, military sources said.
In a separate incident, terrorists opened harassment gunfire on Yeniyazi gendarmery station on Thursday evening.
Terrorists fled when the gendarmes returned the fire.
Operations are underway in the region.
