ANKARA - Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Abdullah Gul said on Thursday that opening a border gate between Turkey and Armenia was not likely in coming days.
Replying to questions of reporters following his joint press conference with Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Vilayet Guliyev, Gul said that he took up that issue with his Armenian counterpart during NATO summit in Madrid.
Gul noted that they would debate the same issue in New York, adding, ''we are trying to solve this issue. Because, if there is peace, there will also be prosperity in the region.''
