Gul: Arafat Is Representative Of Palestinian People

ANKARA - Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Abdullah Gul said on Friday that Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat was representative of Palestinian people and an elected person.
When asked how decision of Israeli government to send Arafat to exile would effect regional stability, Gul said, ''this is a decision causing concern. A decision that may damage peace in the region as a whole. We guess this would be discussed carefully. We believe that the sides should act extremely careful not to pave ways for more chaos in the region.''
When asked whether or not Turkey would convey its advises to Israel, Gul said Turkey would do its best to install security of Israel and to restore order to the region. Gul said Turkey's views would be conveyed sincerely.
