MOSCOW - Turkish President Ahmet Necdet Sezer received Boris Grizlov, chairman of the State Duma, the lower chamber of the Russian parliament, in Moscow on Thursday.
Speaking at the meeting, Sezer said political relations between Turkey and Russia improved gradually, and noted that during his meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, he witnessed the joint decisiveness to further improve this momentum in Turkish-Russian relations.
Sezer said improving relations with Russia was among the priorities of the Turkish foreign policy.
Grizlov in his part said political and economic relations between Turkey and Russia were very positive yet noted that relations between the parliaments of the two countries were weak when compared with political and economic relations.
Grizlov said Turkish Parliament Speaker Bulent Arinc would visit Moscow next month, stating that he believed this weakness could be overcome thanks to the visit in question.
