Foreign Ministry Condemns Attack On Swedish Foreign Minister Lindh

ANKARA - Foreign Ministry on Thursday condemned attack on Swedish Foreign Minister Anna Lindh that caused her death. Foreign Ministry also expressed condolences of Turkey to Swedish government and people over death of Lindh.
A Foreign Ministry statement recalled Lindh died in hospital today because of the wounds she had during yesterday's attack, adding that ''we harshly condemn this attack whose reason could not be fully comprehended.''
The statement said Lindh, during her term in office as Foreign Minister, was in close relations with Turkey, stressing that Turkey expressed condolences and implored God's strength upon all who are grieving.
