VAN - It will not be possible to reach a final result in fight against terrorism if the conditions and environment in which terrorism is fed are not changed, Turkish Interior Minister Abdulkadir Aksu said on Saturday.
Aksu is actually visiting eastern city of Van to have a meeting with governors of Agri, Bingol, Bitlis, Hakkari, Mus, Sirnak, Tunceli and Van.
``Therefore, we should exert utmost efforts to solve socio-economic problems,`` he stated.
Aksu recalled that a law has been passed in order to compensate financial losses of citizens who were negatively affected by terrorism.
According to Aksu, 140,589 out of 359,339 citizens, who had to migrate due to security reasons, returned back to their villages as of May 31st, 2006.
