STRASBOURG - Eurimages, the Council of Europe fund for the co-production, distribution and exhibition of European cinematographic works, will extend financial support to two films by Turkish directors Ferzan Ozpetek and Abdullah Oguz.
These two films are ``Saturno Contro``, an Italian-Turkish-French co-production directed by Ozpetek, and ``Mutluluk`` (Happiness), a Turkish-Greek co-production by Oguz.
Eurimages will grant 4.1 million Euros for 12 co-productions, including the films by these two Turkish directors.
Set up in 1988 as a Partial Agreement, Eurimages currently has 32 Member States.
Eurimages aims to promote the European film industry by encouraging the production and distribution of films and fostering co-operation between professionals.
