Turkish Businessmen Due To Iran

ISTANBUL - Turkish businessmen will search for cooperation opportunities in trade and investment in Iran between September 30-October 2.
State Minister Kursat Tuzmen will head the delegation. Istanbul Mining and Metals Exporters Union (IMMIB) organized the visit which will take place by the coordination of Foreign Trade Undersecretariat.
Issuing a written statement, IMMIB's Secretary General M. Mutlu Oktem said that the visit would take place for promotion of Turkey's export products and for increasing share of export products in foreign markets.
Oktem said that Iran whose population has reached 65 million has a foreign trade volume of 44 billion dollars. Noting that the trade volume between Turkey and Iran increased since 1997 and reached 1.2 billion dollars last year, Oktem said that ''we think that the trade volume potential between the two countries is very low and we aim to increase our trade volume with visits of commercial delegations and similar organizations.''
