VIENNA - Health Minister Recep Akdag said during his meeting with Turkish doctors in Vienna, Austria that ''your existence here is very important for us.''
Health Minister Akdag, who is currently in Vienna to attend the 53rd European Committee meeting of World Health Organization (WHO), had a meeting with Turkish doctors working in Austria in Turkish Embassy in Vienna.
''We launch efforts to become a full member of EU. In that respect your existence here is very important for us. We are proud of you,'' said Akdag.
Akdag who listened to and noted down various problems of Turkish doctors stemming from the laws in Austria, said that he would convey these problems to Austrian Health Minister Maria Rauch-Kallat in their bilateral meeting on Wednesday.
Akdag noted that they wanted to open facilities in health tourism and that Turkish citizens living abroad could benefit from those clinics with their insurance. Akdag said that Turkish doctors working abroad could also be charged in those facilities.
