ADANA - A delegation from the European Committee for the Prevention of Torture and Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Punishment (CPT) visited Adana E type prison on Tuesday.
Sources said that four-person delegation came to Turkey to examine whether or not there were ''violations against human rights'' within the scope of the agreement of which Turkey was also a party.
The delegation visited the Adana prison and talked to some prisoners.
Sources said that CPT delegation made some inquiries about treatment toward prisoners, health controls and hygiene in the prison.
The delegation later visited prosecutor Cemal Sahir Gurcay.
Silvia Casale who heads the delegation said that they would make public the report which would be prepared after examination in a press conference to be held in Strasbourg.
