MOSCOW - Turkish President Ahmet Necdet Sezer will hold talks in Moscow Thursday and Friday on trade and other bilateral issues, the Kremlin said in a statement.
"During talks to be held in the Kremlin, all aspects of bilateral ties are due to be discussed, with economic and trade relations an important part of the agenda," the statement read.
"The agenda also includes international and regional issues, such as the perspectives of peace process in Iraq and Middle East, the Iran nuclear problem, situation in Trans-Caucasus and Cyprus," the statement said, adding that the situation in Chechnya was also on the list.
Sezer arrived in Moscow late Wednesday.
Turkey's ties with Russia have significantly improved since the end of the Cold War, particularly in terms of trade.
Bilateral trade reached 15 billion dollars (11.8 billion euros) in 2005 and Turkey is seeking to increase the figure to 25 billion dollars (19.7 billion euros).
