ANKARA - Turkey condemned the killing of four Russian diplomats in Iraq, the Foreign Ministry said.
The ministry told a statement that one Russian diplomat was killed in Iraqi capital of Baghdad on June 3rd while four others were abducted.
``Unfortunately, we have learned that the four kidnapped Russian diplomats were killed. Turkey thinks that terrorism poses a big threat against international peace and security and never approves any terrorist attack. Turkey condemns this grave terrorist act,`` the statement noted.
Turkish Foreign Minister Abdullah Gul sent a message to his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov immediately after the incident, and expressed his deep sorrow and concern.
