ANKARA - Turkish Central Bank sold 500 million USD in foreign exchange sales auction on Tuesday.
In the auction (held under a policy introduced this week to support the currency), the bank sold 500 million USD at an average of 1.6153 YTL.
The bid was 1.1 billion USD in today's auction.
The introduction of the auctions followed 2.25 point hike in key interest rates at Sunday's extraordinary central bank meeting.
